Beowulf is the name of the main character in the anonymous epic poem
'Beowulf', a poem from the Anglo-Saxon mythology. The name possibly
means "bee-wolf" or "bee-hunter"  (a kenning for bear) from Old
English beo - "bee" and wulf "wolf".
