I thought it might be interesting for you to get to know some of the main vocabulary for the Worldcup so I made a list of terms which I selected from trusted sites of translation. The source of my research is below the list. I hope you like it and also that with this list you can be able to try listening to some English broadcasts of the World Cup and recognize the studied vocabulary.

A abreviação PK / PKs (penalty kicks) é usada nas estatísticas dos jogos e pode também aparecer em textos corridos.
Se aparecer ao lado do placar do jogo, podemos usar a abreviação pens, assim:
Paraguay 0×0 Japan (5-3 pens).
